When Shenzhen Spring Factory processes and produces hardware springs, it is always easy to encounter various small problems. How should we deal with them?
1. If the air furnace heating and quenching does not have protective gas or the salt bath deoxygenation is not complete, decarburization may occur. Solution: The air furnace heating and quenching should be protected by protective gas or organic solution drops: When the salt bath furnace is heating, the salt bath should be deoxygenated, and the impurity BAO mass fraction is less than 0.2%; Strengthen the inspection of the surface quality of raw materials.
2. If the hardness is insufficient after quenching, the service life of the hardware spring will decrease and residual deformation will occur. Solution: Select steel with good hardenability, improve the cooling capacity of the quenching medium, ensure that the temperature of the hardware spring entering the quenching medium is above AR3, appropriately increase the quenching heating temperature, and strengthen the metallographic structure inspection after quenching.
3. Overheating temperature can cause coarse grains and increased brittleness. Solution: Heat and quench according to the correct temperature of the process test; Reduce the hot forming temperature appropriately or strengthen the calibration of the instrument to ensure accurate temperature measurement.
4. The majority of the reasons for cracking are due to high thermal temperature or excessive cooling capacity of the quenching medium, surface decarburization, and delayed tempering. Solution: isothermal quenching or Martensite graded quenching; Cool to 250-300oC in quenching medium and remove for air cooling; Immediate tempering after quenching
