Which spring factory can produce high carbon steel springs, Shenzhen spring manufacturer
Shenzhen Professional Spring Factory specializes in producing precision springs such as high carbon steel springs, compression springs, and torsion springs. It is located in Building A4, West District, Baishixia Industrial Zone, Fuyong, Shenzhen
What material does high carbon steel compression spring refer to? Generally speaking, high carbon steel is often used in the manufacturing of compression springs.
So, what kind of material does high carbon steel mean?
Firstly, high, medium, and low carbon steels are carbon steels with different carbon contents. According to the carbon content, carbon steel can be divided into low carbon steel C ≤ 0.25%; C ≤ 0.25% -0.6% for medium carbon steel;
High carbon steel refers to steel with an elastic content of 0.60% -1.70%, which can be referred to as "high carbon steel" within this range.
The commonly used carbon steel for manufacturing compression springs is generally compression spring steel, and the mechanical properties of compression springs vary among different grades of high carbon steel.
Therefore, when the customer proposes to use high carbon steel to manufacture compression springs, we need to confirm the specific brand with the customer and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of high carbon steel compression springs.
1. Advantages: High carbon steel can achieve high hardness and wear resistance after heat treatment. The cost of this compression spring wire is relatively low. Compared with stainless steel, compression springs made of high carbon steel have a longer lifespan and are not easily deformed under the conditions of spring design and reasonable production.
2. Disadvantages: Poor thermal hardness. When the working temperature reaches 200 ℃, the hardness and wear resistance of high carbon steel compression springs sharply decrease, making them unsuitable for high-temperature environments. The results indicate that under low temperature conditions, the yield of the material is low, the ductile brittle transition temperature is low, the permeability is low, and it cannot resist corrosion in atmospheric and acid alkali salt environments. When making compression springs, two types of high carbon steel wire compression springs are generally used. Steel wire compression spring is a cylindrical, square, or special shaped spiral compression spring formed by winding steel wire, which has the ability to withstand tension and load.
